Introduction

This special issue is composed of three parts focusing on concepts of space, time, and representation, respectively. Part I looks at how Chinese sf film engages with spatially grounded notions of Chineseness, particularly as they pertain to China’s relationship with the West; Part II reflects on how the genre’s emphasis on fut *** ity is dialectically intertwined with its corresponding interest in the past and present; while Part III uses themes of ecolo *** and diaspora to examine how Chinese sf’s mimentic representations are grounded in a set of broader semiotic environments.

本期特刊由三个部分组成,共收录10篇文章。来自中外的12位资深学者与学界新秀围绕科幻 *** 中的空间、时间与象征三大概念展开深入探讨。之一部分聚焦于中国科幻 *** 如何通过空间概念来诠释“中国 *** ”,并探讨中外科幻 *** 之间的关系;第二部分反思了如何辩证地将科幻 *** 中的未来与其对应的过去和现在之间的关注点交织在一起;第三部分则通过生态和离散主题来审视中国科幻 *** 的拟态象征如何植根于更广泛的符号环境中。

Part I pivots on the question of how Chinese sf films frequently draw on Western themes or elements. The three articles look at works from the Republican period, the Mao era, and contemporary moment, respectively—with the first examining the 1 *** 0s and 1930s,when Chinese artists were taking inspiration from a variety of Western so *** ces; the second looking at the 1950s, when China was t *** ning away from E *** ope and America; and the third looking at the contemporary period, as China and the West h *** e once again begun to d *** lop extensive contacts with one another.

之一部分围绕“中国科幻 *** 如何借鉴国际科幻 *** 主题与元素”展开。在此部分,之一篇文章考察了20世纪20-30年代,中国艺术家如何从各种西方作品中汲取灵感;第二篇文章关注20世纪50年代,中国科幻 *** 创作植根本土,逐渐脱离欧美;第三篇文章则聚焦当代中国科幻 *** ,强调中国与西方再次开始建立广泛而深入的联系。

Part II, meanwhile, feat *** es three articles that foreground a set of temporal concerns, emphasizing notions of the present, fut *** e, and past, respectively. Although none of the works discussed in this section feat *** es a conventional time tr *** el premise, they each n *** rtheless examine a set of temporal assumptions that *** rm o *** understanding of past, present, and fut *** e.

第二部分的三篇文章聚焦于一系列时间概念,分别聚焦于过去、现在和未来三个维度。其中,之一篇文章探讨了1979年鲍方导演的 *** 《怪客》,运用了一系列未来科幻的构想来反映当代现实;第二篇文章考察了1988-1997年间张之路创作的三部儿童科幻 *** ——《霹雳贝贝》、《魔表》、《疯狂兔子》,并结合当时社会发展背景,想象中国儿童成长的另一种未来;第三篇文章刨析了2004年王家卫导演的 *** 《2046》,通过反思过去与现在之间的关联,启示看待未来的意义。

Part III uses themes of ecolo *** and diaspora to reflect on a set of more abstract issues of representation and meaning. The concept of ecolo *** links to a broader set of disco *** ses on environmentali *** and cli *** te change, while the concept of diaspora connects to issues of tr *** el, migration, and displacement. At the same time, these themes of ecolo *** and diaspora also function as *** ror i *** ges of one another, as ecolo *** emphasizes the interconnections between lifeforms that share an ecosystem while diaspora instead stresses one’s residual ties to a distant homeland following a process of displacement and dislocatino.

第三部分通过生态学和离散主题来反思一组更为抽象的象征与意义问题。其中之一篇文章分析了周星驰导演作品《美人鱼》中半人半鱼的形象与韩松小说《红色海洋》中“水栖人”的异同,认为其是 *** 人与自然和谐关系的超自然人物,提倡通过展示多物种缠绕的方式解读科幻作品;第二篇文章从庄子“化”与“变”的哲学角度对 *** 《大鱼海棠》进行考察,提供了重新概念化和应对现代环境危机的新方式。第三篇文章通过考察影片《宇宙探索编辑部》中的诗意表达及其在文本和主题上的双重建构,扩展了科幻 *** 类型的边界和本土化创作的可能 *** ;第四篇文章则对比了《瞬息全宇宙》与《流浪地球2》中的华侨形象,反思如何在跨国背景下重塑个体与群体的身份。
